Our German school in Berlin is in the old Western part of the city, in one of the most beautiful and interesting areas with the most movement: Schöneberg. The great public transport connection makes sure that all routes are just a step away from the language school.
The school is on the main street in Schöneberg, a two minute walk from the metro or from the train station (Schnellbahn). This neighbourhood with its bars, cafes and stylish restaurants have been converted into a lively and exclusive place to go clubbing.
Every weekend, you can go to the Winterfeldtmarkt market, perhaps the most famous in Berlin, as well as Mauerpark market. In the area of the Fuggerstraße street, the homosexual area has been established, which enriches the place with bars and original events. If you want a bit of peace, you can go to the Viktoria-Luise-Platz square or visit the villages and luxurious 19th century constructions of Friedenau, a town to the South of Schöneberg. On Tauentzienstraße, the western extension of the Kurfürstendamm street, the shopping centre Kaufhaus des Westens (KaDeWe) can be found: the biggest in mainland Europe.

Berlin is, without a doubt, one of the most interesting cities in Europe and in the world. After it was destroyed in World War 2, it was the image and symbol of a world divided into two. But this now forms part of the past, in the last 20 years Berlin has changed into a youthful and cosmopolitan city which has a lot to offer to different types of people: lovers of art, nightlife, history or sport. The hustle and bustle of the large city can be combined with the peacefulness of the nature.
Berlin is an easygoing city. Dominated by contrasts, it is a place where nobody is surprised by anything and where there is room for all different trends and ways of thinking. Its diversity can be reflected in its districts, the most alternative in the East, most famous amongst the youth, artists and the most eccentric people. Elegance and peace can be found in the West. Here, nearly four million people live, in the biggest city in Germany. However, it is a city that is also peaceful. This is perhaps because Berlin used to be made up of small villages... welcome to the city where it is impossible to get bored.
New York has it, Paris has it, and Berlin has it too: a strong nightlife which satisfies all expectations and always follows the path of new trends. Including at the time of the wall, following the example of the "Big Apple" in New York, western Berlin was a city that didn´t sleep. Here, there was no closing time for bars and clubs, which broke the night atmosphere. Quite the contrary: with accredited institutions such as the "Sage club" or the "Kit Kat club", every month new discos, clubs, lounges, and varied style bars were born... The majority of them are in the trendiest neighbourhoods: Mitte, Prenzlauer Berg and Friedrichshain.
Berlin is also the capital of singles. So the supply of locals and parties is huge to have fun and get to know new interesting people.

The school offers a varied cultural, activity and excursion programme. Berlin has something for everyone: art, culture, sport, nature, places to go shopping and nightlife.
They organise cultural walks, excursions and frequent visits of a minimum 4 a week, to bring the students closer to the German culture. All are free (except in exceptional cases when there is an entry charge) and they are taken by a member of our team. There are things from a German Cinema club to "Stammtisch" (a reunion for the students in one of the best bars in Berlin).

However, there are also families with adults that rent out their free bedrooms. You will be able to come in and leave when you like, cook and have access to all common areas in the apartment. Living with natives offers the extraordinary opportunity of total immersion in the German culture.
