The city of Florence

Florence is 120km from the West coast of Italy, 200km northwest of Rome. It is a truly amazing city, unsurpassed by any other European city in terms of history or architecture. Students and visitors from every corner of the world come to Florence to get to know the incredible atmosphere of this Italian city, and to see with their own eyes the birthplace of the Renaissance

The city boasts an endless number of museums, palaces, galleries (public or private), as well as many bars, clubs, cafes and restaurants (with the magnificent Italian cuisine). The city is sophisticated, modern and international, but also traditional. Visiting Florence is an obligation for active, innovative and precursor architects, artists and designers, which is not unusual considering that the city was once home to Dante, Machiavelli or Medici, to mention a few.

Accommodation

Family

Living in a family offers the unique opportunity to integrate in the Italian culture and the Italian way of life. When selecting the families, we look for families that are friendly and welcome international students. Also, the family is not always traditional: the family can be a couple without children, a single parent, etc.

You can choose between breakfast or half board with breakfast and dinner. You will have your meals with the family, but you need to consider that the Italian customs can be different to what you´re used to. Breakfast is normally coffee or tea with bread, butter and jam. Dinner means eating a full meal at around 20:00.
